While the service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere (or lack there of) leaves much to be desired. This place is a dive (and not the good kind). Paint was peeling off the walls and it just seemed dirty. Also, the Avon for sale by the door seemed tacky. My husband ordered a beer and wasn't given a frosty mug--though some apparent "regulars" seated across from us were. When a giant mosquito landed on the wall near my husband's head (and he smashed wit with a table tent) we should have just left. As for the food...well, I ate it, but I won't be back for more.

Best shrimp cocktail, salsa, and chicken fajitas!!! I was not expecting much from a place in MS, but this was sooooo GOOD!! I was very impressed with the staff (that DO speak spanish), the music wasn't too loud, but the colors ARE! They were very friendly, and they still have a smoking section. I'm very happy with this place!

I will give 3 stars for Mexican restaurant in a beach town. If you need a fix this place is not to bad. The tortillas are home made I think and good seafood soup was not very good. Chips and salsa are pretty good! Over not bad place to eat.

Don't let the outside fool you. Very good food at a good value. Service was just right. Tea glass was never empty.

Horrendous food! Im Mexican and proud but this restaurant is a disgrace to mexican food and fuck!ng expensive!! OMG I made the worst mistake. I tipped 4 dollar to the waitress because she was nice but even the food took more than 30 minutes, the plce was empty and the beans, rice and everything else was frozen food. Never will go back and i will look at reviews now on!! :(

Came in search of tasty Mexican food...left still looking for it. This place was no good. The food lacked any flavor, which is all wrong with Mexican food. The waiter was very friendly, but can't make up for bland, lukewarm food. Won't be going back again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
